The Annual Veterans Day - September 8th 2008

We are always trying to gather new material and to contact men and women who served at either RAF Millom, Cark and Walney or even the RAF/FAA stations in the North West . We normally entertain around 300 guests at our annual reunion, both from the United Kingdom and Overseas.  If you or any member of your family saw service at any of the above Stations then come along and make yourselves known to us.  Let us add your memories to our archive and allow us to give you an invitation to Septembers Get Together!.

On the 8th September 2008 the RAF Millom Military & Aviation Museum is holding a Reunion for all veterans who served in the North West during WW2. There will be a Parade of Standards, Veterans march past. A buffet is also available for those Veterans that wish it, for more  information or to book please contact the museum secretary.

We have, at the museum, a Botha wing section (which we believe is the largest surviving section of a Botha) which is used as a unique autograph book for ex-service personnel who served at the Stations.  This wing section came from Botha L6446, it flew from Millom and crashed in Scotland in 1941.

We look forward to seeing you in 2007, and guarantee you the warmest of welcomes. The Museum grounds are open from 10.30am but the Museum is only open to the public from 2.00pm to late (6.00pm or later) on Saturday and 10.30am to 17.00pm on Sunday. The weekend would give anyone visiting the chance to have a good look around the museums.
