Poland

At the time of writing the Museum's archives relating to members of the Polish Air Force are principally restricted to those involved in local air accidents, of whom more detail can currently be found in the alphabetical listings by surname within the accidents section of the Gilbert J Rothery archive - this information will however shortly appear within this section of the web site, and photographs and service details of those known to have served as 'staff pilots' at 10 Air Gunnery School,RAF Barrow, and at 2 (Observer) Advanced Flying Unit based at RAF Millom, along with a small number of photographs depicting Polish Personnel attending courses at the Staff Pilot Training Unit, RAF Cark can be found within the respective Museum displays.

Regrettably the photographs and career details from the local stations are not currently available to visitors to this site but can be viewed within the Museum displays along with copies of accident records and reports translated into the English language.

Should you require details of specific personnel known to have served locally please contact our Curator prior to visiting the Museum to ensure there is a record concerning that individual as our holdings at this time are by no means comprehensive. Should you feel you may have information for inclusion within this section of the Museum's archives please contact us.
